    Hello
I am new to this forum I read alot of helpful threads from everyone since I joined. It is also helpful but interesting as well. I have a 2015 Sr5 Trd that Im currently building but I am having a issue myself if anyone has had this problem as well it would help a bunch if you can share what you did to resolve it. the issue I'm having is when I put my truck in drive most but not all the time I hear a type of metal pop noise from the rear. sounds like its more centered on the rear driveshaft but not sure either. the truck drives in all gears ok and 4wheel works too but I might be missing the problem?

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
Might be a universal joint going out or needing greased. Off the top of my head I’d look over suspension too. If you have access to a lift it would make it way easier. If not have a buddy help out by listening (safety) under the truck while you put it into drive then neutral. These trucks have several areas that can become issues.
I’m in SJ as well, if you need help PM me. Good luck. PS welcome aboard ...

Looks like your truck is lifted. Have you dropped your driveshaft carrier bearing? This will help decrease the angle of the drive shaft. The taller the lift the more drop you’ll need.

A bunch of washers will work as well.

    And welcome from Sunnyvale!

@Cruzer yes it’s 3.0 lift but I forgot to mention the noise I had since I bought it , not new but I didn’t think much of it because it drove well. First Toyota Truck
