So I recently got the newish RCI Arapaho bumper (full review to come soon) and a light bar to install. I am not sure where on the fire wall to poke through the wiring however. Anyone have a photo of a landmark I am looking for in the engine compartment? I have never installed anything that hooks up to the battery. Im assuming this is a pretty easy install though. Any tips and tricks?

The factory wiring harness has a large grommet with a nipple on it. I cut the nipple and used that hole to run the wire.

On the Driver side of the firewall, near the brake booster looking module, there's a large black rubber seal that you can poke through. Don't use anything sharp- you can try a coathanger, but bend the tip over. I've had good success w/ the factory antenna :) used as a rod. Lube it up w/ some dish soap too to help it slide through.

There are grommets on both sides of the firewall. The importance of not damaging the existing harness running through those can’t be overstated.

Ok thank you! I think in my head this was a lot more difficult to do. Watched some Youtube videos but the camera work is never great and always dark under the hood.
