Have had great luck with Sylvania and Philips LEDs from Amazon. A bit more affordable than Vleds. Just get red LEDs for brake lights.

Diode dynamics makes some awesome stuff. Have their bulbs in my 06. As for reverse lights GTR lighting has the brightest I’ve seen. My wife’s sequoia has a set. Both companies have shop by vehicle option that shows all the bulbs for your truck

What kind of LED’s did you get? I’m looking for fog lights too. Currently in my 2013 CrewMax I have these black inserts. No bulbs at all.

    Pretty things
I hope to accomplish the same puddle lights today. Just need to find a tap that I like for the bed light switch.

VLEDs provide a tap to do 2 pair, but I feel like I can probably find appropriate body grounds in the kick panels. This should allow me to tap only one wire (positive out from the bedlight switch to both positives for the puddle lights)

You may be able to tell I am far from an expert on electrical systems. I know just enough to get myself into trouble.

...I'll let you know what I break.

My uncle is looking to get Puddle lights as well. Good to hear it is recommended here. We'll just finish installing the brake pads and toyo tires on the Wrangler this week and then we'll start the light mods on his new Tundra project.

    Update...

    I got nowhere.

Removed the door panel and mirror assembly only to have quite a difficult time attempting to removing the glass. Even put the assembly back on the truck fiddled around for a while and failed again.

In the process I used a putty knife, nylon squeegee, small pry bar, large metal bbq spatula, plastic spatula (which I broke), and my fingers... All to no avail.

Most frustrating part of my day is watching a youtube video of a guy easily popping the glass off and on with his thumbs... Not so easy on mine.

Sorry I dont have better news
