Hey all, so I have one key that does work with the key fob attached, but the other key that I was given doesn't work. The key fob is FCC ID ELVAT6B. I did go up to my local dealership and they told me that Toyota quit using those because the key fob wasn't very reliable. I am looking to get a pair of key fobs to replace my current setup. I do have key blanks on my radar, but currently there's no point in ordering them if I can't find key fobs that will work with these.

Any ideas on what I can do to alleviate this issue? I prefer the newer style (for lack of better terminology) where the key and the fob are separate and I just press the fob to lock up the vehicle.

That key fob you've listed is for the dealer port (aftermarket) SECURIKEY+ alarm system. It's not part of the factory keyless system, nor the OEM RS3000 alarm system in the '00-'02 Tundras.
