I payed to replace my factory Radio in my 2017 Tundra with a new head unit that works with Apple car play.
I had the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX installed

Have had nothing but issues with the radio.
It will randomly shut off for 2-3 minutes and restart its self.
I have had the radio replaced three times, the control module replaced twice. Took too three different radio places. Still have the same issue.
It is currently at a stereo place but the guy has looked at and still has not found the issue been there about a week.
I do not have the factory radio.
my question is do I bite bullet and buy a replacement factory radio and put it back in?
Or wait a bit longer and see if I can figure out the issue ?

Can you return it and buy a different model? I'm about to pull mine and replace it with a Kenwood DMX1057XR

@1UP I had the Radio Replaced three times all ready the last replacement was an upgraded model. the place i had the radio installed only caries pioneer. I probably could return it and go to a different place and have a different brand installed but i am thinking the radio is not the issue.

I replaced my 17 non JBL with a jvc kw-m750 bt from crutchfield. I had issues with CarPlay connecting and it turned out to be a bad cable. Member on here diagnosed it. Look up, upgrading head unit thread, great info.
Ironically my internet went out a couple days ago, got a new router, troubleshooting with Verizon, turned out to be bad Ethernet cable. Very random as it had not been touched.
If you decide to go back to stock (I don’t agree with this) where are you located? I might know where to find one cheap.

I’m in VA. Let me know if you want to go back to stock. I think it’s a step backwards but if yours isn’t working than maybe you’re just fed up at this point. Go to crutchfield.com and look around. If you see something interesting in your price range, start a live chat, super easy and extremely helpful.

Yep. Pioneer units are notoroius for random reboots and it has been that way for years. It irritates the crap out of me.

If you decide to go stock I'll give you mine for free once I remove it. I'll be tackling my dash make over / unit install sometime in Sept.

You pay shipping of course o_O
