I usually try to keep things OEM, but that said I was tired of dealing with the outdated bluetooth in my 2011 Rock Warrior. So I went with this Dasaita and am happy with it. It allowed me to keep steering wheel controls and allows for me to add some Toyota pictures and logos and has wireless apple CarPlay. It has several USB’s coming off the back of the unit but I don’t want to go through the glovebox. Does anybody know of a dash port adapter that would connect to the existing usb and have a female end on the dash?

It was pretty easy to install, took me about an hour and I don’t have much experience with that kind of stuff. Pretty much just plug and play, but be careful taking the factory one out if that’s what you have because you will need to transfer over the yellow clips. I purchased a dash removal kit off of Amazon for like $5 but not sure if it was necessary or not.

I actually really like the integration here. So many just look like a touch screen carelessly tacked on, or a clear double din with a cheesey bezel.

Looks like the surround completely fills the gap between screen and dash top.?

Stock amp and speakers for now?

Did you start with non-JBL and factory wheel controls?

Can work with android as well?

I look forward to more of your thoughts on the system.

These are android based so they should integrate well with an android phone. There's an ordering option if you have the JBL system.

Yeah you can’t tell here but the back of it does curve along the dash of the truck. When you order it it comes ready for your truck and has Toyota logos pre installed when it starts up.

I only have stock speakers and don’t have the jbl but believe it comes with all the connections for that. You can program the steering wheel buttons to do whatever you want.

it does have android auto as well but don’t believe it is wireless.

Yeah it is very responsive, I have been impressed so far. It has 4gb of ram.

I have the exact same radio. I’ve added a Bluetooth ODBll reader and the torque app, front camera, and DVR to it so far.

the link Tundra1976 provided was one I found, but haven’t tried yet. I’ve got my DVR plugged into one of the USB ports behind the dash. The other USB I want to connect to a hard drive for movies. The third USB for CarPlay I have down by my seat for times where wireless CarPlay isn’t working. But usually sit my phone in the wireless charger tray I have in center console.

Also have you been able to change the screen saver clock? Every thing else seems to be so customizable (I even changed the color of the buttons to match the orange) I just haven’t been able to figure out that.

Not all BT readers seemed to be compatible based from online reviews. I have no power right now and poor service, so I can’t upload any images, but I’m using a veepeak mini Bluetooth ODB2 scanner from Amazon.

I also bought a ODB2 y harness so I could keep the ODB2 port below the steering wheel and one connected to the scanner.

I’m wanting to say that’s a setting in the factory settings. I think I disabled that. But I auto connect to CarPlay and use that 95% of the time.

Oh yeah! Definitely like the addition of the front camera (was going to ask about that). I am happy to keep the little feller in the mirror, but would love to add a front camera for offroading, parking, etc.

Know if there are more inputs for trailercam or whatever?

There is an “FcamIn” video input (I think this is what I used for my front camera) as well as a “CamIn” and “Aux Video In” video inputs. I don’t think I’m using those at all.
My DVR is a USB version for Android that came with the app to install on radio already loaded (ATOTO AC-44P2).

Also, I installed my front cam into the front bumper just above my light bar. My truck is so high I feel like kids or short people sometimes get hidden. So I wanted something I could switch to when driving in parking lots. No joke.
It kind of blends in with the parking sensors.

Did you need to buy a mount for the HU or does it just fit into where the stock unit was?

For our 2nd Gens the radio has a bezel built in that somewhat follows the lines of the dash. It sits out a little but not as much as those other floating displays.

Would any additional harnesses be needed for the factory back up camera to work and the steering wheel controls? I've seen a lot on the forum talking about maestro but ive only noticed it in on the 2014+ tundras.

Depends on your trim level I think. Either the CB004 or CB005. The seller on Amazon or wherever or Dasaita can confirm.

I had to send a picture of the back of my radio to them. I ordered the wrong one the first time based on the description being wrong.
