Hello all. Thanks for the /join. Tried for a few weeks with no luck, but things are working again and I am all signed up !

I have a 2019 Tundra Crew Max Trd 4x limited. In Cavalry blue. Have 82k already! I can remember the first scratch (called AZ pin striping here). And how much it hurt. But there are lots more of them now for sure.

Also had a 92 Bronco, which I just sold. It was used for serious off road ventures and scratches I didnt want on my new Tundra .. But can justify keeping them both.. Sold the Bronco and get more than I thought I would ! YAY..

So started planning upgrades for the tundra, starting with a new head unit, speakers, amp, dash cam, and other toys.. Then wondered if I should be putting that much money in something with that many miles on it. Contemplated on buying a new one and starting from scratch. But thankfully common sense returned to me, much to the chagrin of the sales guy.

I live on a dirt road, and actually use this truck a lot. And I see people getting several hundred thousand miles on them, and its paid for. And I think most importantly, its already scratched. If I got a new one, I would be having to go through weeping every time it got a scratch or ding. Can't take it again LOL..

So been reading on how to spend money on here! and I am going to. Stereo project scheduled for next week. Also ordered a new shell for it so I can carry my gear with me instead of using the back seat for storage LOL.

    Next project will be bumpers.

I have done a LOT of reading, and appreciated the brain trust! Hope I can add so it in some small way.

    Thanks gents!

Big Arizona group on this site, and of course you're super close to the biggest annual meeting of Tundra's (unfortunately not in Sedona this year), Tundra's to Sedona.

Following up on your concern - I’m dumping as much money as ever into my rig with 96k miles on it. No concerns.

Makes it easier to do bigger mods (like cutting bedsides and body mount chop) when it’s not a brand new truck…

I need the insider info on more great trails around Sedona - I’ve done Broken Arrow, Schnebly, Soldier’s Pass, Cliffhanger - Do you have any recommendations?

haha classic! I do the same when I describe where I live to folks from out of state. "Oh, you know, near Sedona..." and the reply is, "oh that place on social media looks so beautiful" Hahaha

I bet you have killer views in Cornville almost as good as what Sedona can offer.

I appreciate my view and its more affordable than a proper Sedona view haha

Wow... there are so many ! Good place to start is the MVUM (Forest Service speak for the Motor Vehicle Use Map) which are free, and if you use avenza for navigating they are FREE! This is an odd area as within an hour you can be in the Coconino, Prescott, Tonto & Williams/Kaibab Forests. So plenty of terrain. One nice run is between Cherry Creek & Jerome, although it is snowed up right now. I think they are USFS 413 & 132. You can get all the way up from the valley on the end of Mingus street, but I wouldnt do that part in my Tundra. Took it is Polaris, and of course check the road conditions no matter what. Changes all the time ;)
