Hello fellow Tundra owners. New guy here just cruzin by to say hi.
I'm a proud owner of my second Toyota Truck.
Carrantly I own a 2016 crew cab 1794 edition Tundra. I work as a mechanic in the bio tech field and have been a mechanic sense high school.
I've never owned a stock car or truck, including the Tundra in own now.
I'm interested in all kinds of topics about anything. I'll be asking allott of questions too, as I don't know all either. I'm in San Jose California. The concrete jungle

Well that's my story and sticking to it. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

    Question: thinking out loud,
My new bumper is a beast, (about 120 lbs.) now that its in my possession I'm a little worried about the over hang weight that I'm going to add to the front end. I know there's other Tundra owners out there that either have something similar or even more added weight to the front end. I still have stock suspension set up. Should I be worried about anything. Alignments, tire ware, Will I need stiffer spring/struts, Oh and I'm thinking about a winch (82 lbs.), all that is adding extra weight. and I have plans of getting a different rear bumper also to keep the look going and functionality. Anyone got and ideas or real life experience's? or am I just worried about nothing. I know gas millage will go down with added weight.
    Thank, Buds.
    Ter.

Welcome from San Diego. We got the bumper pics, just need to see what they attach to. Enjoy your new project ! Yes you will definitely want to put a new suspension up front if your adding 200lbs additional weight. Give the fine folks over at ToyTec a call and explain your situation. Good luck with all.

Welcome Ter. You just missed our Nor Cal meet yesterday. Check the thread here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/nor...and-greet-dec-9-2017.18842/page-6#post-437870

It you're already doing bumpers, you're gonna be doing suspension. I'f you're installing a winch you're gonna want to take it offroad. You may wanna chat with Mark, @dcsleeper408 he's in SJ too and can help point you in the right direction. He helps a lot of local guys with installs too. I can say that most of us that go wheeling are running Icon, ADS, Fox etc type coilovers. With these adjustable C/Os you get to select your spring rate 600 650 or 700lb. With your bumper and winch you're likely looking at 700lb springs.
