What's up everybody  I just got my first tundra last week. I've been in Toyotas pretty much since I could drive. Mostly tacomas with a couple 4runners sprinkled in and all of them have been great. Found out about the site from TW and moved over.

Here is the new truck, 2017 TRD pro crew max.

And here's a few pictures of the last Tacoma just for fun.

I did the same thing, moved from my 2010 Tacoma to my now 2016 Tundra TRD PRO. Also had a fixer upper 1991 4runner I recently sold. I'm loving the Tundra, you will too!

welcome from MT! I traded my 2017 TRD OR DC Taco for a 2013 Tundra. Needed a bigger truck and smaller payments. Sure miss the tech of the 2017, but the Tundra is a sweet truck. From the looks of your Taco, we should be expecting some major mods in the near future!

I'm also from TW. Currently have a 2016 Tacoma DCLB OR. Researching Tundra. Hope to get a TRD Pro Tundra in a near future.

Yeah it's great so far. Power is awesome to have and the space is awesome. The suspension is lacking compared to my old truck but that will change after a while.

That wasn't the plan originally, but after one trip in the dirt I've been really contemplating changing all the suspension and going with bigger tires. I had 37's on the Tacoma and told myself I probably won't go that big again, but I think I'm going to. The 37's thread on here makes it look fairly simple to get them to fit, especially compared to the work it takes to fit on a Tacoma.

You should do it! I thought about it for a long time and now I'm glad I did. They are awesome trucks and the space is great.

I have a question for anybody that can help me out. I don't have a VIN tag in my door and I'm not sure if the truck should have one. The Carfax shows no accidents were reported but there was damage reported once with no details. I can't find anything cosmetically wrong with the truck. I did find a piece of sheet metal in the glovebox though with what appears to be the VIN tag on it. Anybody have any input on that?

    Welcome from southern NJ.

I think all vehicles should have the tag in the door jamb. The tag also shows the recommeded tire pressures. Strange there is a piece of sheet metal in the glovebox. Something is not right but if everything looks and operates correctly, you may be OK.

Yeah, I got it figured out. It had some cosmetic repair done on the b pillar and they cut it off the old piece. It's a little frustrating that I didn't find out about it before I bought it, but I don't think I have many options. Everything else is perfect though.
