    Hi folks !
New member here but not new to Toyota. Purchased my first yota in 1989 ( 85 4Runner ) and my last one on Thursday of last week . A 2024 TRD Limited CM with 6.5' bed. This will be yota #39 and Tundra #7 lol . ETA on the truck is sometime in July . I have the TRD lift ordered and now trying to decide on wheels , tires, offset etc. In the meantime i'm driving a 23 SR5 8ft bed DC that I purchased as a work truck last year. I've been reading threads on this forum for months now so thought it was time to sign up . Glad to be here and hope to learn more about this new gen, meet some people and check out all those sweet ass Tundra's along the way :)

I had to say goodbye to my last Tundra 2018 TRD CM with Readylift 3/2" , 305/60/18's on Moto Metal wheels. Loved this truck but ruined it by travelling on the highway with plow attached . I've been snow clearing with Tundra's for 15 years. Never had an issue until I started travelling on highway with plow attached . The vortex of salt , snow, water and wind encapsulated the engine bay to the point of no return . So sad ! 83k kms = New base pan , new trans pan , new PS lines and new alt with the past 6mths. Now it started blowing fuses so ,,time to go !! image0.png

Welcome to the forum from Florida and beautiful rides!

I would not have thought about speed playing that much of difference.

Thanks !! Wouldn’t mind feelin that Florida sun right now lol

It’s absolutely mind boggling how fast that trucks engine bay went from fresh to fully salted ! I’ve destroyed 2 Fisher plows and on my 2nd Snowdogg when happened . It’s not the trucks fault ! In all the years of plowing and the different Yr Tundras , I’ve never lost a cv shaft , ball joint , tie rod , u joint or suffered any electrical issues . It all came down to travelling at speed with a plow in salt

Welcome from the communist republic of Massachusetts!

Did ya all know the island of Newfoundland is infested with moose? They have like hundred thousand of them or so. We've been driving in our trusty V8 Sequoia after dusk searching for the cabin and saw like a dozen of infernally looking absolutely black shadows (their fur does not reflect) at the side of the road with bright evil dots where they eyes are. Super creepy. Driving from west coast to east we've seen two emergencies evacs after moose crashes and two more evacs driving back in a few days. Moose hunting season is never closed in Newfoundland. Moose burgers ain't bad either. They also sell beer by cans over there.

Bahahaha , you’re not wrong ! Moose were introduced to the island back in the early 1900’s . I have pics of the first ones coming off the train . Since that time they have populated the island from one side to the other . 125k is not far off now. You really have to watch for those brown clowns on the highways . Light bars are a popular addition to everything on the road here lol . To make it more interesting , they love licking the salt off the asphalt during the winter months so that makes for some spirited driving lol .

Hope you enjoyed your trip to the rock !!
