New here, first post. I'm at a loss with brake grinding and rotors running hot. I've read a few forums here trying to track down answers

Just put brand new Powerstop everything on. New calipers, pads, and rotors. Triple checked fitment, everything was ordered from summit racing.

Front left runs extremely hot, and there is bad grinding noise when turning. There is grinding from front and rear though.. *more so than average new pad wear*

Been a lingering problem over the last 15-20k miles. I don't want these new rotors to warp as fast as the last set and be toast within 2 years again. This vehicle is just a daily for the family, no heavy towing or off roading.

Have you considered replacing the brake hoses? I have seen them collapse internally. The brake fluid does not drain out and the rotors get hot from the increased friction.

However, that would not account for a grinding sound. I would lift the car and spin the wheel and see if you can find the source of the grinding.

That will be happening soon, but there wasn't any issue bleeding them and there is still enough fluid in the reservoir so i believe the brakes are getting what they need. Hoping its just a back plate issue and not bearings or something more involved.

I’ve had this happen before too. After a front suspension prep on my first gen, I drove out of the driveway to a grinding noise. Apparently I somehow bent the back plate behind the rotor. I stuck a pry bar in there and bent it away from the rotor and the sound went away. Hopefully you have the same, simple issue.
