My truck has 315,000 KM, I kept getting engine light and air brakes warning. I read the code and it came up for the Neutral Safety Switch. It was very hard to get off, once I did I installed the new one.

Now my truck turns on in Neutral but won’t shift into any other gear.

Did anyone else have this issue before towing it to the mechanic?

Update- the corrosion on the threaded part of my shaft snapped inside the nut when first taking it off. In my research, I’ll need to get it towed because they need to open the transmission to get access to the shaft.

Love these New Brunswick, Canada winters with corrosion!!!
