Since there are no zerk fittings on the upper ball joint, tie rod, etc. .... has anyone used a zerk needle attachment to their grease gun to shoot lube into the rubber seals on the joints? I see videos of people doing it on other vehicles but wondering if anyone here has tried on their TRD Pro setups. Thanks

Unless you see evidence of the existing lube leaking out, I would leave them alone. Start messing with the boots and it may affect fit and allow dirt and contamination inside.

The boot on the ball on the upper control arm is flat and all grease/dirt on the outside. I may start trying on this one as it seems to have leaked anyway.

I’ve used a needle on my grease gun before to put grease in a joint with a boot but no zerk. Works fine. The needle makes a small flat cut into the boot that pretty much self seals. No hole is left behind as it is like a hypodermic non-coring needle.
