Need wiring advice please.

    I have a 2002 Toyota tundra. Just installed running board lights. But cant find where to tap the lights into the dome lights. Please help. Thanks

    Yes but only one side is hot.

    What do you mean only one side is hot?

    One wire should be +12vdc and other wire should go to ground.

    Yes and when I tried tieing into the hot or ground. And then closed the door the running board light wouldn't go out. But it dont matter I just wired it into the truck bed light. But i want to Express my deepest thanks for your help. Hope to talk again sometime.

    You must have been connected to a constant 12v wire instead of for switch controlled.

    Or the door switch is wired to the ground side of the bulb?
