Just got 6112s put on at 1.9. 285/75/17 on Method wheels. The tires are rubbing on the front bumper. Feel like I need to trim a four inch long, 1/4 deep out of the bumper. What tool do I need? It’s the only part that rubs and seems so doable. I just don’t know what to do. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

You should look into some of coachbuilders front bumper spacers before you go hacking away at your bumper.

Hilarious. I was in research mode, watched a video ready to order a grinder. A comment said to just get a shim. Ordered it and then you commented. Since you did, just out of curiosity, are they easy to install?

I couldn't tell you about the install process because I never got around to installing mine but I'm sure theres a write up out there somewhere on it.

I'm pretty sure I saw it before I ordered my set.

So did you cut the bumper? I did order the shims but am impatient. What’s the downside of cutting the bumper?

Bumper shims. Still rub, a dremel to cut front liner, and or, heat gun to move front liner forward. Don't be afraid to :sawzall:
