2013 Rock Warrior Tundra-Had my truck in for inspection the other day. Dealer recommended that I replace the water pump, said it was low on coolant and noticed some leaking from the water pump. From what I can tell this is a common thing. Dealer quoted this at $828+tax. Just looking to see what everyone thinks about this quote? Seems middle of the road to me and I trust my dealer so I’m leaning towards having them do it. Appreciate your thoughts!

I got a quote of $600 from a service shop and $800 from Toyota. YouTube has some good DIY tutorials and will get you through it for around $289.00 in parts. If you do it, don’t remove the radiator like one of the tutorials instructs. No reason to. Removing the fan and shroud will give you enough room. You can get to the tensioner pulley from under the truck to take off the belt.

The water pump on my 2010 went out at around 60k. It was about $800 to replace it at Toyota.
