Hey everyone. Driving the freeway last month one of those plastic cones bounced up and nailed my grill putting about a one foot oval hole in my plastic grill. It looks like the louvers behind it are fine and everything works as intended, but I'm debating whether or not I should upgrade. I'm hearing that different grills like the TRD have different attachment points. I would need one with a camera hole. Right now the OEM is about $400 and the aftermarket grills are about $130 on eBay Etc. Looks like a fairly straightforward job according to YouTube University removing the front bumper cover and pulling the grill off with a few attachments under the wheel well and at the top directly under the hood. Any advice? I really don't want to put in an insurance claim because my deductible is $500. Whatever thoughts you have on this matter would be appreciated. My grill is the typical one with about three or four horizontal panels in the front, not the honeycomb

Pick the grille you like, once you have the part# just Google it for best price. The OEM grilles can be had a good prices. It's not a bad job at all, just a little time consuming.
There are a few for sale in the marketplace on here as well.

Lots of people sell their stock grills once they change to the trd pro one. There should be a bunch on the for sale section of the forum. If you’re willing to put up with a bunch of idiots, there are probably hundreds available on fb marketplace.

Definitely don’t go aftermarket since OEM’s are so cheap. I’ve seen most TRD Off Road and Sport grills go for under $100.

I observed no shameless plugs! I took care of that for ya.

Now I just have to find a cone to take out my grill....

I think there's a thread here somewhere that shows the different grilles & part numbers, have to search for it. As mentioned earlier, I would definitely stay with an OEM.

My truck is just like yours I believe with the MGM. There’s three shades of grey on this truck that make it look kind of busy as far as everything tying together. From a distance however, the shades look very similar. I was thinking about two different options for my truck. I kind of like the basic design of the limited grill, but the grey color is a couple shades darker than the body color. The SR5 grill is the same design but black. And they’re cheapest of the factory grill to purchase. Always thought the SR5 grill would tie in better with the gloss black on the center bumper section. Or I’d also thought about the heritage TOYOTA grill, which would be black also and the TOYOTA letters would be same color as the grill surround (mustache). The heritage grill can be had for reasonable prices also brand new. I personally don’t want to get into a bunch of money simply for cosmetic changes.

I have a 2025 Limited Blueprint with the stock grille and I hate it. I really want to change it out with the OEM TRD pro grille and have contacted the dealership. 372 and some change but the dealership is telling me it wont fit and that I’ll have to cut some parts. Is that true?? Every video on YouTube I’ve seen with 3rd gen just replaces it without cutting. Am I missing something? Maybe because it’s a 2025 or is the dealership BS’ing me? I’m thinking about buying it anyway…..

@DADKILL: Where are you located? I have the TRD Offroad grille off my Limited. Even has the red Tuffskin inserts in the 'TRD'. Yours free if you'll just cover the shipping.

Dealership is wrong as usual and the grille is less than $200.

My only comment is buy OEM Toyota for fit and quality. The TRD Pro might need a camera relocation bracket but those are easy to source. I have the Limited TRD grill with the chrome logo and was thinking about changing to the TRD Pro Heritage grill, but man that
    "T O Y O T A" is big and bold. Lol

Dude. I’m such an idiot. I just swapped mine out (see pic below) and my dumba— completely forgot about the camera bracket. I got it all torn apart only to realize - yep, I screwed up. I managed to rig it for now with some gorilla tape, and will have to fix it once the bracket arrives. But anyway, it’s “done.”

I’ll say this, that was sort of a PITA. Some likely self induced, and not having the right set up. I was sort of working on the garage floor and it was awful. Ended up moving into the dining room midway through (my wife loved that ). Had some issues getting my trim pieces off too. The silver mustache pieces were a pain. Just didn’t wanna pop out.

Anyway, glad that’s over. I have no idea how I’m going to fix the camera once the bracket arrives. I’m hoping I don’t have to remove the grille again.

    Sent a DM.

All the grilles will interchange, the only diffences that I know of is the camera mount being in different places, or camera or no camera.

If you live local in the Southern California area and have a gently used one let me know since I'm probably just going to have to pick one up to save the $120-$150 shipping cost

I was talking to a couple of you guys who are absolutely amazing people and offering a tremendous deal or even a free one but the shipping cost was just crazy high. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate every single one of you who offered. This is what this community is all about. It's too bad I wasn't local to either of you.

    @brhodea

PM me your address and I'll get a shipping quote for you. FYI, it would be $125.00 with a coupon via UPS Ground from me to southern CA and @DADKILL passed on it. Maybe it will be cheaper to MI? It isn't heavy at all, the box is just large.

I'm sure its been mentioned, but I have the Rave offroad kit on my Tundra. Heres a video of my experience installing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ8w6HKrYOM . What I can say after having it on for some time is that if finances werent an option, I would've opted for better marker lights (mine hazed up), and I would've gotten a better light bar since this one isn't strong enough alone to light the sky. With that being said, I am very happy with the product overall.

Call me crazy, but I like my TRD OR grille just fine.

I think if I had just got a Limited without the TRD Off Road option, I likely would have upgraded to the Heritage/Pro grille.

Great video. It'll come in very handy when I replace my grill. Anything not on the video that might help me avoid issues removing and replacing? Thanks brother!
