None (no lift, don't want one), Bilstein 4600 shocks soon. Bigger Michelin tires soon.
Need tires. About 25k miles ago, bought a "used" set of 4Runner 17" alloy wheels with good 265/65-17 tires on them for $300 (replaced the 16" steelies that came on the truck). 17" Alloy wheels are in good shape, tires shot now. Total miles on truck 89k.

Looking on craiglist and marketplace for a set of "takeoff" wheels with tires mounted (I'm frugal). Lots of set of 17" off of Jeeps, a few of these 255/75, which I think would be good sizewise, but of course I would have to pay have them mounted/balanced on my wheels.

Looks like the new Tundras 23, 24) have gone back to a 6 lug wheel, seen a few sets of takeoffs from these with great new condition tires, but think they're 18". Will these wheels / tires fit on our 1st gen trucks?

Not hoping to get a set of good condition anything for $300, prices are up.

Same lug pattern but the center bores are different, surprisingly the grand taco ("tundra" 2022+) uses a smaller bore than the OG Gen1 Tundra 95mm vs 106mm. The 2022+ wheels would not seat over your center bore. However Tacomas and 4Runners uses the same 106mm bore to this day. Thus you could slap on take offs from any 4runner or Tacoma you find. The 4runner stock tire size is bigger at 31.7" though, whereas the stock Taco tire size of 30.6" is very close to a 2006 Tundra stock size. Either should work fine.

They also run a different size lug. You need a few hundred dollars in a adapters but they can fit.

255/75/17 would be a 32" tire, so that should be fine. Any bigger and you'll have to lift. Forget the 3rd gen wheels. Not worth it.

Kinda what I expected to hear. Very few takeoff sets from 4Runners. The takeoffs from Tacomas all seem to have smaller size tires than I want. Too bad the centerbore on 6 lug GMs don't fit either as lots of takeoffs with nice tires (bigger than my 17" wheel size) available for reasonable from these. If no toyotas show up soon, I'll just get a set of the 255/75-17 from Jeep and pay to have them mounted/balanced on my wheels. Hopefully I'll be able to get some Michelins or Bridgestones.

    Thanks guys.

I mean, if you're anywhere within an hour or three of Atlanta and want the best damn wheels Toyota made for these trucks, I'm offloading my OEM wheels right now: https://www.tundras.com/threads/atlanta-area-low-mile-oem-5-spoke-splits-tpms-tires.130505/

I'm negotiable on price, within reason. Your truck could look like one of my favorite OEM+ trucks on this forum: https://www.tundras.com/threads/gen-1-tundra-from-ga.37907/

OP these would be a great option for you. Might I also recommend adding Offer Up to your daily hunt for cheap wheels/tires? It's another app/website you can search like CL and FB and I actually sold my old tires on there, and would have bought some of the exact same takeoff rims you're looking for if any had been for sale. Unfortunately I must have just timed the market wrong; was doing too much driving to keep trusting my 18 year-old BFGs and had to buy some at Discount.
