Just recently snagged myself an '07 DC and really want a topper. I want something not necessarily to sleep in, but to take camping. Just as important, though, is keeping things dry. I grew up in the rainy PNW and know how hard it can be even with a topper. I'm torn between the big 3: ARE, Leer, and SnugTop. Really not sure which brand to go with nor how to narrow things down. I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks!

There honestly doesn't seem to be that much of a difference between the 3 from what I've seen. They can all be ordered with pretty much the same options. Snugtop's fold up front window is nice but more valuable if you have a CM with the full roll down rear window. You can get a removable front window if you're concerned about being able to clean the rear window of the truck or a sliding rear window if you just want to pass small stuff through from the cab.

I'm in a Leer primarily because it was the cheapest option from the dealers around here. It's completely dry inside when it rains; the only time I get water inside is when I power wash it and only around the rear windows.

I agree,I think they are more alike than different really.
Geography alone might be the deciding factor as the closest would have to be the cheapest I would hope?

I have had decent success buying used really, even for a Longbed Tundra which has got to be a fairly rarely seen model.
