    Finally getting around to installing my coilovers. Maybe tag to @Toytec Lifts on this as well, not sure if anyone is responding after-hours on holiday weekend though.

    I found instructions online, none in the box. One CO is marked "DS" so I assume that's the driver's side. But looking at the instructions ... which is correct here, your "left/right" details or your "passenger/driver" details or am I just suffering from a massive brainfart?

    w/Toyota OEM "right" is passenger side, "left" is driver side on everything. The instructions appear to be backwards of Toyota's stuff here... or is it? Is the text correct, or is the picture correct in this scenario?

    Tag to @805Tundra because I know you installed the same kit on your 1st Gen. Also tagging @memario1214 in case he knows.

    Basically I assume they want the logo facing outward. If I follow the text "Driver/Passenger" instructions, the CO marked “DS” (which I assume is intended as “driver side”?) would have the arrow facing inward, which matches the picture description, not the text.

    If I go by this picture I'm posting, the "Driver/Passenger" text indicates the left CO I'm showing should be the driver's side. The right one marked "D.S." should be passenger side, maybe D.S. is actually the initials of the person who packed the box?

    Nevermind, D.S. has to be driver's side, it's the only way the bolts will line up while logo is facing out, without having to rotate the lower mount. Mystery solved.

    @Toytec Lifts please fix your Aluma Boss instructions so the driver/passenger designations in the text in the left column match what the images show on the right. Note the "PASSANGER" typo as well.

    @shifty` glad you figured it out. I can’t remember if mine were marked when I got them. I just made sure the logo was facing outward when I installed. Can’t wait to see the rig when the install is complete

    @805Tundra dunzo.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1690#post-3311434

    Hit a few hurdles on the first side (passgr), by the time I hit the driver side it was a quick go. Removing the knuckle to pop the UBJ made all the difference in the world. Also way easier to squeeze in the coilovers with everything out and the CV hanging.

    Just lacking a couple dozen pumps of grease on the SPC UCA and I can go roll around in it, see what I f'ed up (j/k) and where we settle out. It's looking like I might get ballpark 1.75" - 2" as-delivered.

    Wheels are here already, setting up an appt with my shop on Tuesday to get aligned as soon as they get my tires in, install wheels, tires, TPMS overhaul, and paying an extra 1hr just to once-over on the work and fine-tune things in. I'm getting old, the eyes, memory and muscle aren't what they used to be.

    PS - it looks like yours are correct anyway. Valve inward, logo out on both sides. In hindsight, I've had known immediately if I didn't make the mistake of reading the damn directions. Who reads directions?! I've never used their product, so I did! Once I grabbed both and checked the holes up top and confirmed which one allowed the logo to face out, big "DUH!" moment.

    But I'm leaving this post here in case someone else has the same confusion later. Even if it makes me look like a total noob, despite the reality. :rofl:
