I’m tech challenged and generally do not enjoy setting up appy thingies. I managed to get my Carista dongle to work with OBD Fusion and have the app downloaded and set up, but I cannot for the life of me find the gauge or setting that reads trans temp. Can anyone guide me in dum dum terms how to find it?

The latest Enhanced Diagnostics available for Toyota is 2021. Do I need to buy that? Is it compatible with 2024 model Tundras?

Long story short.... worked with OBD Fusion to beta test their Android Auto version. For the help, they gave me the 2021 diagnostics to try but it didn't work. They say they are working on PIDs for gen 3 but they're not available yet. Been using Car Scanner app in the meantime.

That’s a drag. Is this the app you are using? And it will pull trans temp via the Carista with minimal fuss?

Yes, that's the one. I won't be able to confirm which PIDs I am using until tomorrow but it said something like 2016 Tundra, Sequoia etc. I have no idea why those PIDs seem to work and the 2021 for OBD Fusion don't. Setting it up isn't hard but it's a bit clunky.

OK. Thanks. If not too much trouble and you could let me know specifically which PID you are using, that would definitely be helpful. Much appreciated.

Ok. Need the truck to get that info and I just dropped it at the dealer today for oil change and trans update due to a recall . Should be ready tomorrow morning sometime.

I sent OBD Fusion an email and they told me they are working on a package for the 2022+ Toyota's but who knows what that means. I've been using the carscanner app, but it only shows the trans pan temp not the converter temp like my 2018 showed.

And the dang boost gauge starts at 14.6psi (I'm assuming for atmospheric pressure) but I wish there was a way to calibrate this in the app so it starts at 0!

It would be nice if OBD Fusion would work as it is apparently compatible with CarPlay, so you could read info on the main screen. Car Scanner and CarPlay don’t seem to play at all.
