ED2953D0-9A36-4C1D-B40E-F3313232D0F0.jpg Hey guys I’ve tried searching all over but can’t seem to find an answer so I’m looking to you gurus here.

I need some help figuring out the dimensions of the oem injectors. Specifically I need the diameter of both lower and upper o-rings, the distance between the lower and upper o-rings and possibly a part # for some ID injectors if any of you have gone with a set from them?

In my search I’ve found that the only 2 brands that sell drop-in injectors for our 3URFE engines is Deatschwerks or Five-O Motorsports. I would prefer to buy a set from Injector Dynamics and the tech guy said they may be able to sell me a set as long as I know the dimensions I asked above.

My truck is a 2016 Lexus Lx 570 with the Harrop supercharger. I finally got semi-tuned with VFTuner (which has been a massive 6 month hurdle…) but I’d like to go stage 2 and I know bigger injectors are critical.

Prospeed sells the injector dynamics ones for the 3UR. A few have them like @snivilous and @Wynnded who may have some pertinent advice. I have the deatschwerks 650s on a 77.5mm pulley, and it runs great. You may want to avoid Five-O injectors unless you get them cleaned and tested before installation from the reports of others. Sweet LX btw!

Soooo.....are we talking about Fuel Injector Development (FID), or Injector Dynamics (ID)? They both have listings that fit the 3UR.

When you say "tech", are you referring to one of the employees at FID or ID, or a technician at a dealer/repair/speed shop that is doing the work and/or tuning on your truck?

I thought prospered only sold the deatschwerks 650cc injectors? I guess I missed that somehow. And thank you bro! it’s been a process but I see the light at the end of the tunnel finally haha.

Wynnded- I was referring to Injector Dynamics, I called their customer support # and spoke to one of their reps for product technical support, sorry for the confusion.

All work/ mods were installed by myself except for ecu tuning via VFTuner since I know jackcrap on ecu tuning.

Also what fuel pump are you guys running? I bought a walbro 450lph pump but ended up using the Deatschwerks 340lph unit that was supplied in the Harrop kit because I was pressed for time and the DW was drop in.

I ask because my tuner said that the maf and injectors were scaling fine yet there was a significant drop in fuel pressure immediately in boost/load. His theory was that there is a “kink” in the hose by the FP or possibly a faulty FP (I guess DW QC doesn’t have a good track record?)

Here should be the link to what ID has for Toyota: Injectors

I don't understand why you were asked for dimensions. If you did the work yourself, don't you still have the stock injectors to get the dimensions of? Maybe you're not the pack rat that I am.

I used the Walbro 450, some are using the DW 340 and are fine with it. It depends upon what your power goal are or what kind of headroom you want to have. You may have a kink as suggested or a fitting in the tank that's not tight and is leaking under higher fuel demand.

And you know about the dedicated (tangents aside) General Supercharger Thread?

What pulley setup are you running? 650cc injectors and a 340pump are plenty for a stock pulley setup. DW is a good solution and drops in. This setup is still good enough for a pullied blower as an fyi

Wynnded- I’m still running the stock injectors since Harrop claimed it was fine and the only fuel mods were the DW FP and the supplied FPR swap. Also silver17 said you were running the ID injectors? How are they in your experience? I’m assuming those are the 1050cc’s right?

I know the supercharger thread is super long so I thought maybe there was a better chance of having a new thread catch some attention lol.

reywcms- Currently still on the “stock” 85mm pulley from Harrop, but I’ve got the Griptec 80mm pulley ready to install once I get a set of injectors. I know 650’s are plenty even at stage 2 levels but there doesn’t seem to be many options for us and I’d like to “buy once cry once” and get the best parts possible.

Oh, that's right, I remember Harrop making that claim about the stock injectors. That makes sense.

I'm using the FID725cc injectors, I can't think of anyone who's mentioned using ID injectors, and no one using larger than 750s. At least I haven't read it first hand. There might be some folks that have gone larger, but they don't seem to be here, they likely have a built engine block too. When you're making enough power to need 750s, you're pushing the limits of the stock bottom end.

I know that the General thread is popular, but the OP keeps the first post updated with some of the fundamentals.

I'll see if I can get some measurements of the stock injectors this eve.

Wynnded- Ideally I’d like to stay 650 or 725cc since I don’t plan on going balls to the wall or anything, just stage-2 is more than enough for me. How do you like your FID injectors? Are their products better in quality and performance than Deatschwerks and Five-o?

And I really appreciate your help and advice, and the measurements would be awesome!

For the stock* and the TRD injectors:

Diameter of the upper o-ring is 11mm.
Diameter of the lower o-ring is 16mm.
Distance between the upper and lower o-rings is 51mm.

*This measurement was taken from one of the Fiveo 750cc injectors I have on hand which are dimensionally indistinguishable from the stock injectors.

The Fiveo injector next to the TRD injector:

The Fiveo injector and the injector from Fuel Injector Development (FID) which is currently installed in my truck. The bottom o-ring is not installed (yet).

The DW 650s work great and are drop in and have no issues. Not sure what more info you need. No need for a harness adapter etc. We’re running this one a Whipple 2.9 and smaller pulley with plenty of overhead on fuel.

At one point in time, I had a set of the DW650 in hand but didn't use them, returning them. They appeared exactly like the stock injectors. I agree that they should plug right in to @eZKimChi's system.

Wynnded- Thank you so much! That’s exactly what I was looking for and I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. If you were local I’d buy ya a beer!

Reywcms- I know the DW 650’s are a direct drop in but I’ve heard mixed reviews on their quality which is why I wanted to go with ID’s since they’re the gold standard apparently.

Out of curiosity why did you go with the Whipple route? Sounds like a beast of a truck, how much power are you making in that setup?

Twinscrews are more efficient than roots style blowers. I also plan on building a 6.8 stroker motor and with these positive displacement blowers bigger is better. I had a trd maggy previously on this truck. My truck probably makes 650+ just judging by the dragy times and 7000lb weight of the truck. I'm running a few steps down in pulley size and making about 9.3-9.6 lbs of boost.

Talk about going big or go home lol. So you’re possibly around 650 currently on a stock block and heads?

Now I seem to have another fueling issue…

According to my tuner whenever the engine starts to see any load/ boost the fuel pressure is dropping sharply. Just as a test he is commanding the ecm to input for 9.5 afr at wot but the ecm is only logging 12.7 afr…

The only 2 parts I touched for fuel system were the Harrop supplied FPR and the DW 340lph fuel pump.

Any ideas on how to fix or proceed?

Are you confirming the afr with a Wideband gauge?
