Hello, I am in desperate need of help. I have search through multiple forum post with similar issues.

This problem first occurred to me at around 6k miles. The dash lit up with CEL and a bunch of functions unavailable. (Pre-collision, cruise control, trailer brakes)
I took it into a Toyota dealer and they recalibrated the shift sensor and told me not to rest my hand on the shift level. This fixed it...for now

Fast Forward about 8k miles, the same problem came up and the Toyota dealership won't touch the truck because it is modded (it was modded at the first visit).

The code only occurs 90% of the times, it fixes it self sometimes.

Pre-collision, cruise control, trailer brakes do not work as a result from this. Additionally, I cannot manually shift gears when shift level is in 'S' mode. (gear numbers are not visible)

I took it to a local shop that specialized in Toyota trucks and had them replace the Transmission Shift sensor. They took apart the center console shift area and found no issues.

    Some symptoms i have noticed:
Truck is sluggish when taking off from first gear (feels like its in 2nd).

I have Kings, Icon RXT 2nd option, and some lights wired to Switch Pros 9100.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I do not have aftermarket bulbs, I do however have some "add a circuit" fuse taps in the fuse box that are wired to my SP9100. Maybe thats it?

Worth disconnecting and ruling it out as a cause maybe? When in doubt, especially this new of a vehicle, remove all aftermarket stuff and see if the problem continues. Then you can always go to a dealer stock for them to take care of an issue thats not aftermarket related. As far as using add a circuit for power, you may want to consider using a relay that just uses an add a circuit type fuse as a trigger to draw directly from the battery. That way you are not drawing power from other circuits but only drawing power when the ignition is on. That's how I power my compressor.

I had that code when I first bought mine used. In my case the previous owner had the cam tower seals fixed under warranty and the dealer that did the work removed the cab. After having it back to the dealer I bought it twice, it was found that the other dealer must not have drained the lines to the heater core well before removing everything and coolant dripped into the electronic components and relays located in the passenger side kick panel. It corroded a bunch of stuff. They cleaned it all up and no issues since. That’s of course a very unique scenario though.
