So pretty recently truck developed a power steering fluid leak on the driver side. It’s a slow drip but even after refilling the reservoir with the recommended ATF, something is screaming up front, it gets higher pitched as the rpms go up and when steering. I have no prior experience with diagnosing and working on a power steering system, so I was hoping someone with some more knowledge than me could chime in and help me figure out what I could do or what I will possibly need to buy and replace. Thanks in advance.

    Edit:

Also have no idea of where to even start looking for the leak so any pictures or diagrams from Toyota of the system would be much appreciated. I haven’t had much luck in finding any.

Have you checked your PS fluid for foaming after hearing the noise? I'm wondering if the sound you're hearing is cavitation. Which might mean a leak on the return lines.

The power steering pump is on the left side/passenger side looking at the engine bay, it is right next to and above the alternator. I just had to replace my alternator and had to remove the PS pump. It isn’t too much of a challenge to remove it.

You can remove the passenger wheel and the cover, use a stethoscope or long screw driver to listen and verify the sound is from the PS pump.

Yes I looked today, no foaming necessarily but right after pouring in new Dexron III ATF, the fluid seems to be getting a gray/milky tint added to it when I look down into the reservoir.
