I found this in a tutorial thread, but have never seen just this piece taken off. Can anyone confirm for me if this piece can be taken off separate from the entire console? In the AJT videos, it shows the whole console part being taken off. Thanks for your input.

I took mine off but they are plastic welded so you have to drill them out
