Does anyone know what these 2 wiring harnesses go to? I’m assuming they were for the stock trailer wiring but this truck didn’t come with the towing package. I ask because I’m thinking about getting an aftermarket receiver to give me some more capacity over just sticking a trailer ball into the bumper. If these are for trailer wiring would I need an oem harness for the trailer connection or would an aftermarket receiver come with it (Reese, Curt, Draw Tite, etc.)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have to have an adapter for the 4 pin trailer wiring to work. I have a Reese one on my truck. You cannot splice in and make it work. If you're wiring for a 7 pin, additional wiring and a brake controller must be installed.
