So it seems my new Tundra has an Ant problem?
    WT actual F ?
    Know what I mean?

I brought home a Contractor Bed Cap and I think those little bastards already lived in there.
I can't figure out if they are inside an Aluminum tube at the rear corner or,and this is really crazy they are inside the twin channel rubber tube gasket that seals the cap to the bed rails?

So I only saw a few at first and of course now there are quite a few and after I went and bought bait traps there seem to be billions of them,it is a little disturbing really!

So I am thinking of sealing the end of the Aluminum tube entombing them in there if that is where they live or removing the gasket on that side and trying a new one which is a huge pain in the ass but I am also open to other suggestions and obviously ridicule as well if it is genuine and clever at a minimum.

So anyone else share this odd plight and have any ideas?

granular bait is always best in my opinion. they eat that shit and go home and die and theyre friends eat them and die. either that or they bring the goods home to momma and everyone dies. or spray and pray.

So I am not sure I understand what exactly happened here but I think it is done.

I used liquid bait traps and stuck 4 of them in spots in the rear of the bed area and on the bumper where they seemed to be massed and then the "Magic" began?

Within a minute of setting the first trap down they came from everywhere and dove right in!
Then I spilled some of the Juice on a bumper corner and they massed around it like it was Lake Tundy or something and they seemed to be going insane for it really.

So I left it overnight in the shop where there is really no food or water for them to hunt and in the morning there were a million dead ones everywhere but mostly around the lake and the traps themselves so I left again and came back and somehow all of the dead were gone?WTF,where did they go?

This seemed to go on all weekend and first I would see piles of bodies but then they would vanish?

Yesterday there was a noticeable reduction in activity but there was a path down from the truck to the floor for some reason and then this morning there were just a few wandering around carrying things trying to figure out where everyone else went like they did not get the clearing out notice maybe?!?

So what I cant understand is where the little dead bastards went?
    Do they eat the dead?

Are you sure they were dead and not just drunk?

I've always had the best luck getting rid of ants with Amdro granules.

25 years ago my wife's car suddenly had friggin' ants walking across the dashboard. Then I noticed them along the bottom of the door opening. It took me over a week. And finally...........I FOUND IT. The bastages got in behind the plastic front wheel well liner and built a full blown mud ant condominium. Queen? Yup. The real deal. Stupid southern United States fire ants. The mud was already there from her doing some stupid-ass off roading through the grass median of Interstate 65 a couple months before that.

Well thanks for that special message of hope anyway.

I am pretty sure that these lived inside part of the Cap I bought and brought back a few weeks ago,it had been sitting in the grass at a guys house in the country and of course something like this never even crossed my mind before buying.

So I gather that all they want is to be able to live free and need water to do that so all of the Ant Remedies attack the ability to find or drink water somehow maybe?

Whatever is in the Bait Juice that I used was attractive to them right away and somehow they sensed it right away too ,do they have tiny noses?

They did and do seem "Drunk" really but there are also not a lot of them left so I a hopeful but cautious.
