2011 Crew Cab shortbox 5.7 202k Both front doors but more so the driver side WHEN OPENING IT. Its never been wrecked or loose in any way as in lifting it up and down like an old Chevy door rocks up & down...
I sprayed some wd40 on the upper & lower hinges also the smaller extendable support* 4 days ago to see if it would do anything for the noise like Ive used on all my previous vehicles but no luck.
I feel I'm spraying in the wrong area or should change to silicone or oil ??
Any Forum members had this issue on your Tundra before ?? How did you resolve it ?

I have the same thing with my passenger side door only while opening the door, noting with closing. Open it and it sounds like something is rubbing and get this deep creak sound. Done the same thing as you to no change. I did notice there is what seems to be some plastic between the front fender and the door, and wonder if it is rubbing in there. No paint issue noticed on the outside, but cannot see the inside.

See above. The tend to crack or break as they wear out. See if it is rubbing at all.

It seems to be fine, no wearing or issues noted with it. When compared to the driver side, it looks and functions exactly the same. When I get home tonight will check again.

When my door check broke you could see it cracked when the door was all the way open, pushed to extension.
I opted for the more expensive OEM part but you can find cheaper aftermarket parts on Amazon..

Gen 1 but it's pretty much the same on a Gen 2.

Son of gun. All this time....
Had my Tacoma 14 years. Never had a clue. So the door check is on the door side not the fender side of that arm ?

Yes, it's in the door hinge area.
