My Tundra Farts.....

Ever since I got my Tundra, It makes some funny power down noises when I shut it off and remove the key. My truck sounds like its farting or something on the inside. Hope this is normal, cause i just let it do what it does.

 

Nothing like that from mine, just hit 2000 miles. Shuts down without issues. Somethings not right there.

 

Aip system purge at shutdown is most likely the noise.

 

Just bad gas

 

Yes, I think Its probably something normal. It takes a few seconds sitting there before it does it, and only lasts for a few seconds as well.
I'll have to try the GASX...

 

First gen, mine developed a funny fart noise when I shut it off. It's like when you're squeezing one hoping to keep it quiet but it just goes high pitch and long instead, almost like a slide whistle.

 

Mine does the same thing. No warning lights or anything else funny, so I'm not worried.

I have to make a mod for my truck where when I shut her down...there is a loud fart. I am the Faht Nocker after all.

The secondary air injection system will operate for a couple seconds after ignition shut off. Engineers claim it clears the valves of any moisture. Completely normal.

It may be lactose intolerant try using lactose free fuel or drop a few lactaid tablet into the tank.

 

BlueDream flames are hotter...

The problem is that flames can be different colors for reasons other than temperature. Specifically, they may contain ionized materials with strong emission lines that color the flame. Probably the easiest example to observe using ordinary household materials is sodium which gives an orangish yellow color (easily seen by dropping a few crystals of table salt into the flame of a gas stove).

The reason that hotter flames are blue is that blue light is more energetic than red light. A hotter flame has more energy, and therefore generates more energetic light coupled with an occasional anal flutter.

Problem solved.
