My first time in the Tundra Forum. I'm on my fifth Tundra since my first one bought in November 2001 for $30,647.90. A Limited model. Current model is the Platinum Hybrid 2022 bought October 2022. I let the dealer service department take care of all maintenance! I like the Platinum, but there are some issues.

Hello. I have two issues. One is objectively clear: wind noise coming from the driver side mirror or door/window. I tried taping over the joints where the mirror folds-in, but it did not fix the issue. The wind noise starts somewhere above 40 mph and is really loud at 70 mph. My dealer said "Toyota knows about the problem but has not come up with a remedy, yet."

The second issue is more subjective. My wife complains that the ride is not smooth. I bought the special Adaptive Variable Air (AVS) suspension thinking it would prevent her discomfort. Even driving in the so-called "Comfort" mode, instead of the "Normal" mode, I don't feel any improvement on bumpy roads. Right now, I've added 300 pounds of sand bags to the rear which seems to have settled it down and she has not complained as much!

There is a TSB T-SB-0070-22 that addresses this issue of roughness. I have a 2022 Platinum Hybrid and the VSD is included in the TSB coverage.
My intent is to take this up with the dealer, but I'm hesitant over the subjective nature of the TSB. It requires the technician to confirm a rough-ride feel when driving over uneven road conditions. Since the AVS in a Tundra is so new, how does anyone know what it should feel like over uneven roads. I'm anticipating them telling me it is fine since it is comparatively better than the ride in the 2nd generation Tundra. Any guidance on how to approach this issue with the dealer? Should I expect it would ride like a Lexus with AVS? I only drive Tundra's, so my knowledge has been limited! Other thoughts? Thanks.
