Allrighty then. I had this in the general tread and I'm guessing that the title was off... and that my video skills need to improve , and they will... sorry. the post is getting off subject and attracting flys.

So my problem is that while my truck is perfectly aligned it still "LOOKS" like its dog-tracking . where the back and the front do not "LOOK" perfectly aligned . In the video i state that i took it to toyota and an independent shop , where they both verified that in fact electronically verified with lasers it is strait.....but while driving behind it ,,,,,it optically/visually looks crooked.
In my opinion it is in fact a crooked ass truck.
ALL tundras look like this!!! to me.

next time when your driving, pull in behind a TUNDRA and see what it looks like down the side. Compare it to a couple of Fords or chevys.

AM I the only one who sees this?

Can this be discussed ??? or are y'all really that obtuse?

Among my other past lives i have repaired many-a-wrecked cars.... so this something that i see in bent un-repaired frames.

Didn't watch the video. But does this have anything to do with all Tundras having the passenger side rear tire sticking out noticeably further than the driver side rear?

Could this be because the bed isn't as wide as the cab, therefore it looks crooked? I have noticed that my 07 and 17 Tundra beds, are about 1/2' narrower than the truck cab. But it's that way on both sides. I only saw the view of the drivers side of the truck, the one part that showed the passenger side, I couldn't see it well enough to determine if it may be an illusion due to the bed width.

I didn’t see the whole video but saw the first 2 or 3 minutes of it. I couldn’t really tell anything was off, though. But to be fair, I don’t normally notice small details like that.

Also, as someone else pointed out, I remember reading on here that the rear passenger side wheel/tire pokes out about a half inch more than the other side on our Tundras, which is supposedly normal. It’s possible that the 1/2” difference is noticeable enough to a few that it may appear as though something is off-centered or crooked when viewed from behind.

well some tundras are worse then mine.... the video later has footage of other tundras. I have seen tundras that look 3 inches off. skewed to the left when seen from the drivers side...and duplicated on the passenger side.... so it looks to left from both drivers and passengers sides. its hard to video this when driving.... but next time you find yourself behind a newer tundra have a look and let me know.

I’m curious enough now to try that. I will say I’ve seen some older Chevy and Ford half-tons that definitely looked skewed when looking from behind. Not all but a few, and more so Chevys, all lifted. Not sure what’s going on with those, but I suspect it’s a different issue or cause than what you’re noticing with Tundras.

Also, I thought I remember you saying in another thread that you’re in the DFW area? I’m down in Waxahachie. Maybe this might be a good enough excuse for a local Tundra meet.

Your truck don’t look like it’s dog-tracking, I’ve been behind many tundras, and chevy’s ford and Dodge Ram. All look strait.

It looks off just a bit in the video. At work we have the ford vans and now the transits. Those look way worse than your video, about at least 6 inches visually. (Insert joke here)

This is deceptive perception. The rear axle is biased to the passenger's side, which fools you. Because of such bias, you think that you're seeing more of the driver's side of the vehicle, when you're not.

Of course, I could just be obtuse...

I see nothing wrong, I see someone videoing from an angle not straight on, and the angle is giving an optical illusion effect because you can see farther down one side of the truck than the other. But congratulations on all the extra video clicks for your YouTube channel. Lol
