I'm in! A long search is over. This truck turned out to be 3 miles from us at a small, family owned dealership.

Apparently another buyer came back the next morning 'just in case' I hadn't gone through with the deal.

    First impressions and thoughts :

    1. She's a beast! Wow - coming from a minivan-as-truck... this will take some getting used to.
    2. Pristine interior - TheDarlingWife is suitably impressed.
    3. I'll want to immediately set about updating the original JBL/navigation music-radio system, probably speakers too. We'll want to work our iPhones into the system.
    4. Driver side rear bearing needs replacing for sure. I'm initially hearing that the axle needs to be removed (!) for this job. Would this also be an opportunity to look at a taller diff ratio, to squeeze out some better mileage? (my 25 year old minivan still returns 24.5 mpg on long trips, but I understand that's over for me now). Towing for me will be moderate loads and max of a few miles per time.
    5. I'm looking forward to getting that 'wing' off the back. Body work to blank off and seal the mount points.... ?
    6. The torneau cover has worn thru paint where it makes contact - failed gasket. I will reach out to manuf. to see if gasket renewal is possible. (lifting arms inside are held on with pieces of fencing wire.... will get those overhauled too)
    7. I noticed that the fuel management sensor... (proper name) - mounted underneath and in rear has enough corrosion that it's a worry. I will investigate whether it can be cleaned up and left alone, ignored, or replaced immediately.

Great to be here, AND also to have my first pickup truck to talk about! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday...

    Welcome from South Central Tennessee!

I really like your two-tone interior, great contrast and a classy/luxury look.

    Congrats on the truck!

If you aren’t looking to buy new headlights Cerekote makes a cleaning kit for $17 and has worked great for me
