Pulled out of the garage this morning to this. So there went half my Saturday calling and going back to the dealer. Anyway, while they were fixing it, I was looking at the Tundras for sale. They had a dozen brand new and 3 used ‘22+. So about half the models had color matched mustaches and black bumper patches. I saw it on SR5’s, Limited, and Capstones. Is that a new thing for the 24’s?

This dealer has been a huge pain in my ass so now that we are done with the service portion of the sale, I will start changing my own oil and get another dealer for the recalls, still have 3 outstanding, tonneau cover, fuel line, and and parking brake.

About time supply caught up with demand.

Too bad it's too late for those of us that got dicked paying full boat MSRP.

    UGH.

Happened twice on my 4Runner when it was new. I change my own oil. Oh and they took vice grips to my valve stem caps on my tundra first oil change, fucked tpms and gouged the wheels all up. Incompetence to the highest level.

I had a bit of oil twice, but it was from the oil filter when swapped out. (They didn’t use a tube, nor did they rinse with a hose). Wiped it up, and good the next day.

He said they had a bad oil drain plug gasket. I am betting they either didn’t use one, or the old one stuck on the pan, and they put a new one on the drain plug (doubled it up). It lost a decent amount, I actually swung by the auto parts store and grabbed a quart on the way back over.

Like I said, incompetence. In 7 years I haven’t had 1 visit where something wasn’t damaged on my vehicle

Just had to return to dealer with oil leak after oil change #1. I am happy with my truck. The local dealer and 1-800 Toyota suck as bad as 1990s GM level bad

    Nitrogen filled tires!
dealer won't be doing anything to my truck other than TSB or Recall work. Learned this when I bought my Taco. DYI for anything I can do which is about everything other than noted. Leaving the vehicle for a half day or more to do a simple thing like oil change with tire rotation is not my idea of a fun way to spend my day. BTW I've seen 68 birthdays so age is no excuse.

I'm at the age where rolling around under my truck to do an oil change, or wrestling with heavy tires isn't a fun way to spend my time. So, I just take my truck to a long time trusted local mechanic for maintenance. I've never had a problem with his work.

Dealers are only good to middle finger and yell at them.

Another good choice as local small shops wouldn’t survive if they gave terrible service like the big dealerships.

I had wrote this awhile back and offended someone, and cropped out there response, but this is why I will pretty much do them myself (yes) and the free ones I will except but will stay at the Stealership and verify everything has been done by the numbers.
I don't trust anyone that I personally do not know of....

I do my oil changes at night after everyone's in bed.

If a dealer was open at 10pm on a Friday night for walk ins, I'd consider taking my truck their for the free ones. Since they are not...the oil change isn't free as I still have to take time off of work to go.
