Hello everyone. First off, I did a lot of lurking on this forum prior to buying my truck, and am very appreciative that all of this info is here!

I bought my 2006 SR5 Tundra access cab from its original owner last weekend, with 224,000 miles. I was a bit skeptical of buying it due to the fact that I was not allowed to actually drive it before buying, only be a passenger. But man, the price was right, and I lucked out. It was meticulously maintained since new, despite being owned by a now retired construction worker. I checked the VIN on the Toyota Owners website and it has no open recalls, never missed an oil change, etc etc. And NO RUST! The truck drives like its brand new. Southern california truck its entire life.

Aside from the interior being full of literal trash and whatnot, the only issues are the 'door check' I believe its called is completely broken off the driver's door, and I don't know if the lower ball joints have ever been replaced, which I believe is a serious point of contention.
Anyway, I hope to learn a lot here, thanks everyone!

You’ll have to take the door apart and weld the metal and probably bolt in a small custom made support plate.
