I'm feeling completely retarded with this. I've got no codes in the computer with my issue. I think I'm googling this wrong because I can find anyone with the same issue, but....

When I switch to 4wd hi or lo I get a red flashing on the dash of my 4wd system with an "X" on it Then 4wd Hi starts flashing. If I keep switching the switch in the dash it will stay on until I turn the truck off and back on. Anyone got any clues???? It's a 2008 Tundra with about 210k on it.

I appreciate the help. Just trying to avoid going to the dealer and not replacing every part until I've rebuilt the whole system if I can.

I bought an actuator and I'm hoping that's it. It just where I'm going to start for now because it ran me about $125 and if I can get lucky at that price I'll feel really good about myself.

I ran home and ran my wife's 4runner around in 4x4 for a while from this post. I appreciate the tip. I don't need to replace to of them.

I replaced the front axle actuator and I'm still not having any luck. That one was the cheaper of the two. Now I'm sitting here debating on blowing close to a G for part number 3641034041 which I think is called the shift actuator. Any of you guys have any experience with this? Basically my transfer case isn't engaging and I can't lock my rear end either.
