    Just getting started..
Bought a 2024 Platinum in October and really liked everyting about the truck except the ride and of course the stance. Started lurking here and well, you guys cost me alot of money! Decided on custom valved King 2.5's from Accutune. Read that some found Kings too stiff and I have to say these are no way too stiff. This truck went from a floaty soft ride to a confidence inspiring ride. I love it. It stands up in the corners now and doesnt roll all over the damn place, the hwy driving is great. Yes it's stiffer but in all the right places. So glad I went with the accutune kit! Guess I'm going to have to keep her now. The wheels are perfect too, I was worried about rub and them sticking out too much. No rub and they barely stick out at all. GREAT FIT. Wonder what I'll do next?

    So far..

    Accutune King 2.5's with Adjusters.
    Camburg UCA
    Silver Toy Axles
    Method MR305NV 18" with +18 offset and 5.67" backspacing.

I just bought most of these same parts for my tundra today too - super stoked you’re loving the accutune setup bc I ended up doing the same. I went with the tubular UCAs but man those billet ones look insane!

Truck drives amazing. Have about 80 miles on it now and I would say the big takeaways over and above just amazing looks and stance are:

    1. Overall stability. The stock ride was soft and floaty. No confidence in cornering. This truck stays flat now and it's pretty impressive how stable it is taking an off ramp or sweeper aggressivly.
    2. You can hit road imperfections and it absorbs them yet you retain complete control and feeling. It's not a jarring or numb feeling. It's sweetly in the spot of damping while protecting steering feel and keepoing the tire down. I think alot of this we owe to Accutune. Those boys can tune a shock for this truck.
    3. The adjustibility is insane. You can tweak them in 3 mins to be stiff as a board or soft as a sponge. The choice is yours and it pays to note where your shop set them so you can always go back but if your hauling or putting stuff in the back, stiffen up the rear. If you're going spend the day on trails, soften them all up. etc.

SO HAPPY! I'll say, Fender flares are needed. Not so much for looks, they barely stick out but that barely is enough to sling water and mud on the sides of the truck. So, ordering flares. I may color match them to the truck. Not sure! That's on deck along with a TOYOTA grill and some lights.....

That looks great. Wouldn't mind a head on shot or one down the side to observe the poke.

I'm a dummy when it comes to lifts but considering putting a small lift on my 2022 platinum. Is it not advisable to put bigger tires on the 20" wheels?

I'm assuming stock. The kit from Accutune came with front coils but the rears were bare as far as I know. The shop didn't mention anythign about rear springs. You think I should be concerned about that?

Near as I can tell the "poke" is somewhere between 1.25 and 1.75". It's not 2. I think a 2" flare will work nicely and I'm on the hunt. Trying to decide if I want coler matched or just go with a gloss black. What do you think?

Sure you can if they fit. It's really all about the side wall. What look do you want? I prefer a bit beefier sidewall so when I hit a curb in the Chick Fil A drive through it doesn't F up my wheel. That said, I went with 18" whcih I think personally is the best balance for road use.

OK - POLL - I need a better front end look! So obviously I am giong to go with the TRD grille upgrade, OEM grill. NOW what else should I do while I'm in there? I'm thinking:

    1. OEM TRD Grille.
    2. Bumper Light (Baja Designs S8 20") - Amber
    3. Grille Light (Baja Designs S8 20") - Clear
    4. Fog Lights (Baja Designs S2 Fogs) - Clear

Probably need to remvoe the front plate! I can always ask for forgivness!

    Chime in! Spend my money!

Personally, I really like gloss black, but I would have to see both in person to truely judge. I think both would look great. Looks great the way it sits currently also.

Have a 23 Platinum in CSM, got just about the same list as you! Really like the setup you have with the wheels/kings. Not sure the bronze wheels would go with the CSM color for me, unfortunately. Don't forget the camera bracket with your new grill!

Are you going with a new front bumper too? Might want to consider it while taking the grill off- add a wench, recovery pts, etc. Spend your money! lol

OK, Well, I probably should have been working instead of surfing the forum but I really wanted to come up with a plan for the front of the Tundra. I stopped short of a bumber becuase I'm really not sure what I want yet but the other items I knew I wanted are on the way!

OEM TRD Pro Grille w/ Raptor lights
    Camera Bracket
    OEM TRD Pro Shift Knob
Baja Designs 448162 S2 SAE Fogs in Clear
Baja Designs 448078 20" S8 Grille Light in Clear
Baja Designs 448077 20" S8 Behind the bumper light in Amber
Bumper light switch button from Yota X
Grille light switch button from Yota X

I would get the chrome around the grille color matched while its apart for grille replacement etc and OEM marker lights. You have the rest down, pretty much what I did with the lighting. Additionally I have a Backwoods bumper and Warn winch too.

Curious- what did the paint shop charge to color match the mustache?

Mine was painted from factory bud. But based on years of dealing with body shops, it should cost $100-200 at a good place, at least here in Los Angeles.

    It has begun...

The Japanese have set a record for difficulty in replacing a Grille, Jeez. I don't know how many screws, bolts, and clips but it's quite a few. My hands hurt. Looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow. Rolling iwth the smoke mustache for now and the plain plastic lower valance. Bumper and some color matched parts will come later.

Shes getting an OEM TRD Grille, Raptor lights, Baja Designs S2 SAE Clear Fogs, Baja 20" Amber behind bumper light, and 20" Grille light. I should be able to see the road at night now. It's dark in Washington.

Got her put back together today. Tomorrw will tackle wiring. This is one tedious job. Throw in the panels MUST go back in a particular order and it makes for sore fingers. Soooooooo many clips!

Let there be light! What a difference! Going to start looking at bumpers now. What do you all think of that Nytop hybrid bumper? Are there better options out there for a hybrid style?

The wiring for the raptor lights was super easy. (I went with factory TRD lights and Grille and not aftermarket). Everything fit perfectly. The raptor lights were a simple fuse tap and 2 zip ties.

The S2 Fogs are plug and play, super easy.

The Baja light bars on the other hand were alot more invovled. Took some time to figure out how to run the harnesses and where to fasten. The biggest pain was the fact I had 2 relays and only 1 great place to mount them so mounted 1 there and the other I had to fasten inside the fender in the engine bay. Once that was done running them under the windshield wiper cowling was easy but it's unforgiving and not very flexible so you have to muscle it a bit. Running the harnesses into the cab took a bit of time to fish it through and deal with the insulation then wiring the switches was my least favorite. Seemed like I had to redo a few wires several times but that's just me not being very good with connectors and wire strippers. Got some good practice in!

Hey, did Accutune preset the King Coils preload adjusters for you? I’ve got the King 2.5s right out of the box, and they seem to be set quite low, with very little thread showing. I’d like to crank them up but keep the ride quality reasonable.
Did you work with Accutune to specify the amount of preload you wanted?

This I am not sure of as my shop did it. I do know that after they installed them the front wasn't high enough so they had to take them out and adjust something. Give Khoatik 4x4 a call (253-240-1940) and ask for Carl. He can talk to you about this. Just tell him you were talking to Jeff (me) about it and I suggested you call him. I hope that helps!

Looking forward to this set up. Going w/ Toyo tires and I have OEM brinze wheels that are +60 offset so may need to add wheel spacers, but we'll see.
