So, I recently put new spark plugs on, new wires, and the ignition coil. My truck still is not running up to par. I currently got 6 codes going on. Don't have much more money to spend on my truck. Anyways the codes that came up are P1300, P1301, P1135, P0110, P0100, P0302. I know that 1301 & 0302 are cylinders 1 & 2, those are the ones I know for sure. I think 1 of the codes is for the O2 sensor, another for master airflow sensor, & I think another is fuel & air metering system. O'Reilly's suggested that I do the master airflow sensor next. Also should I replace all the coils, or just the second one? I've already changed the ignition coil, but is still misfiring, someone please help a woman out

You could try cleaning the maf sensor, since thats basically free if you have electronics cleaner or brake clean.

I dunno, given there was recent work on ignition system, and the issue seemingly being a misfire problem, I feel like the more likely culprit here is:

    - OP possibly bought aftermarket coils (rather than OEM), or purchased their items of scAmazon or fleaBay, where sub-par counterfeits are rampant
    - Possibly same with plug wires or new spark plugs or wrong plugs used
    - Plug wires installed incorrectly, coils not fully seated properly as happened with another member recently who failed to reattach 1 wire harness to 1 coil

Given where the recent work was done, and the codes, I'm guessing the problem lie in the work done.

The spark plugs for the 5VZ-FE engine must look like this. I belive they are called a double electrode. I prefer NGK brand. I use the laser platinum at a cost of around $7 for each. Total about $41.20

There is supposed to be a sticker on the engine cover where it says 5VZ-FE saying double electrode.

@MayLou22 if the spark plugs don't have "two Curved prongs" then it won't run right.

Also, use RockAuto for all engine performance parts like spark plugs, ignition coils, mass air flow sensor (MAF), etc.

Denso brand is who made the parts for Toyota originally for the assembly line, and they are OEM without the OEM pricing.

Denso makes the ignition coils, MAF, and several other key components needed to do a full repair.

I have a V6 truck, and denso or OEM are the only parts I will put on the engine.

There have been many people who have purchased items from eBay and Amazon only to find that they are fake or fraudulent parts made to look correct, but they do not always function correctly.

Does anybody have a link for a few of those threads? I can't seem to find them....

Thank you very much, I did clean it and my truck seems to be running the way it should. Am going to hook back up to see how many codes show up now.
