Have a brand new TRD Pro 2021. When I'm playing music from a usb the music from each album plays in alphabetical order and not in the order as on the album. My 2019 4runner doesn't do this. Is there a setting I can change?

I would check your owners manual

You'll need to rename the MP3 files with a number in front of each song to get them to play in order. The program you're using to rip from CD to MP3 should have an option to number the files as they're ripped.

Again, my 2019 4runner doesn't do this. When I am searching the usb the songs are in the correct order but playback is in alphabetical order. Annoying as hell.

My USB flash drive is always plugged in with the songs on it that I listen to.
Sometimes when I start my truck it does not recognize the flash drive and this selection it is grayed out.
I have to re insert the flash drive and start the truck again for it to work.
    Any ideas?

No idea. I always store my thumb drives in the centre console. Is pulling the drive out and reinserting it really such a hardship?

Take the thumb drive out, copy everything to a folder on your computer, reformat the thumb drive (a full format, not a quick format), copy everything back, and see if that fixes it. Thumb drives can get corrupted from the power on/off cycles, and they can also become fragmented like a hard drive after repeated read/write cycles.

Had two corrupt songs on it. Your advice was awesome. Works perfect now. Thanks!

Much better than reinserting it each time.

Not sure if you're still having this issue. I've found that how it searches for the music matters. If I search by artist or album it will play them in alphabetical order no matter how I change the file names. When I search by folder (which in my case is the albums) it'll play songs in the correct order.
