So, just got my tundra and ordered some mud flaps, but I'm curious if they will work with 35s.

Got these flaps > Amazon.com: A-Premium Mud Flaps Compatible with Toyota Tundra 2022 2023 2024, fits All Weather Splash Guards Mudguards with Hardware Accessories, (Not fits SR), No Drilling Required, Front & Rear, Set of 4-PC : Automotive

    Running > 3 inch lift w/ 20 in. wheels; 35 in. tires.

Turned sharp in drive, looks like might be tight on the front flaps.

    Anyone else running these/this setup?

    Thanks for the hepp.

I have a 2” level with 35s and when they put the tires on they took off the factory mud flaps so I’m assuming they would rub. Never tried to put them back on to test though

They will probably rub and be useless for protection. I installed Rokbloks muflaps and couldn’t be happier and no rubbing with +18 offset wheels on 35” with RC 1.75 kit

+1 for Rokblokz. They have great coverage and probably are the best chance for high clearance of larger tires due to being so thin (yet durable). upload_2024-6-25_5-49-40.jpg

Do the Rokbloks attach with plastic factory style clips?

Yes, they come with all new clips and hardware as I recall. I reused the old clips and just put the new bolts/screws in and it’s been fine.

So do I remove the clip and reuse it - like the one shown in #5?

They are tight on the front with Nitto Grapler 35s - BUT - after several slow / reverse cutting turns, all good. I mean there’s not much clearance but they do clear w/o any rubbing. End result you just gonna have to try it for yo’self and if doesn’t work return the Amazons.

Hi - I recently got my 2017 Tundra w/ stock wheels. I wanted nicer new wheels w/ close to factory offset. I think the salesperson kind of did not listen to me on that. He said it was close to same, but the tires do stick out about an inch now.

I looked thru another post on this forum about replacing the mud guards.

I looked on Amazon and had no luck finding bigger ones that were not "universal" and would ship to Alaska.

I ended up following forum's advice to try Rekgens.

Rekgen did not have any designed specifically for a 2017 Tundra. Instead they showed their Universal Sports as the best one to get.

So I get these things and they are hard plastic, not flexible like I expected, so they therefore will not conform to the moldings and bumps present in the Tundra wheel wells that the factory mud guards are molded to fit over.

The instructions they send you to online are for a totally different mud flap. It does say "drilling will be required".

Silver17s your new flaps look very similar. How did it work around the odd surface? Did you have to also cut pieces out/off?

I hate that I have to eyeball the holes for fasteners, and then not know if the tires will rub after I do all that work.

They also did not provide any instruction on how to use some clamps that came in the hardware kit. Frustrating.

Finally, buyer beware with Rekgen. They offered free shipping, but to return them I have to pay shipping, which from Alaska will be like $50 at least, and they charge a 10% restocking fee.

I did not have to cut anything on mine. They lay flat and tightly against the wheel arch openings. Basically it’s like bringing the whole rear of the wheel openings 1/8” closer to the tires across the whole surface if you can imagine that. I actually recently drilled holes in mine further outboard of the original holes to push them 1/2” further inboard. I installed wheels with less poke (positive offset) and it looked goofy, so I felt it was necessary to adjust them since I have the super wide XL version.
