Show me what you all of have come up with to deal with mudflap rub. My new 285/65R20 tires are just barely rubbing the part of the mudflap that is raised at the bottom of the wheel well. It looks like if I find a way to push it back they would clear fine, or trim the raised section off.

Just wanted to see what you all have done before I start messing with mine.

Sorry, I added more detail to the original post. I put larger tires on, not looking to remove the flaps completely especially since they are only barely touching in one spot.

I know several people have kept the mudflaps on while modifying for tire clearance so I’m just looking for experience.

Yup, just a quick rotary tool cut. Won’t even know that part was ever cut

Just curious, did you end up modifying your mud flaps? If so, got any pictures of the result?

check out rokblokz mud flaps. Those thing sit flush and give you all the clearance you will need. They also look very OEM like and don't look bulky. I just installed mine to compliment my 295/70/18's to reduce spray and allow ample clearance.

If you don't want to cut them down, I would use a heat gun to moidify it's form.

I’d rather not spend another $180 if a little shaving/trimming will do the trick. But thanks for the alternative suggestion.

You can drill a hole in the mudflap and zip tie it back to an open hole behind it.
