MPG

What should I do about my gas mileage? I get from 13 to 16 mpg most of time city or highway. Best ever was 17.9. Have almost 6000 miles.

be ready for people to tell you it's a truck and they get shit mpg and the 3rd gen get's no better than the 2nd gen

a lot of it is you and how and where you drive. cruise, A/C, 65+ mph, idling, start/stop, heavy acceleration

 

This....interestingly, wife and I were in Phx last week and we rode with her sister who has a '23 F150 Lariat Hybrid 4 door, FX4 6.5 bed. That truck averaged 23.7 mpg all the time, with much of the driving in the city. Helluva economical ride, and that sucker was big!

 

When the gas gauge gets to 1/4, fill up with gas, don’t look at the price or reset your trip B. Switch the screen away from the mpg screen to the one that shows what’s playing “Take it Easy” by the Eagles. Smile and know that trading in or switching vehicles incurs a huge transaction cost which would amount to about 40-60k miles worth of gas.

 

woah, I’m on 37’s and I get 15. But just like @Ponderosa_Pine said, I’m super happy with the truck so the shitty MPG (mostly my fault) is secondary. At this point I can care less, and I live in commie California where gas prices are insane.
