    Howdy all! 2007 5.7L Limited.
    Most gauges not working.
ABS light on, brake light on, airbag light on. No gauges(speedo, odo, tach, oil, temp.) except, voltmeter and fuel. Odometer not counting and no limp mode. No temperature by clock. The Cluster has lights and the gauges sometimes work on random days. The next day I turn the key and it will have the issue and gauges are down. Once in a while I can put it in park and it will start working again. However, I can go down the road and all of a sudden it will quit again. The last few days its been down every day except once today. Once I went over the railroad tracks the gauges went down. Seems like a short to me?
I checked the fuses, they are fine. I also disconnected the battery to reset computer and it didn't help. Also it really hasn't been soaked with water or anything, I live in a really dry climate.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like 1 or more connections loose somewhere. Maybe a mouse problem?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Just wondering where to start? Someone's got to have had this problem? Wondered if ABS light on, brake light on, airbag light on would indicate the area of the problem?

Check your battery and I don’t mean just checking the voltage, that’s not a very good measurement. You need to check it with a load on it...parts store should do this

I'll give that a shot. It's just weird how the gauges can work and then while hitting a bump they (speedo, odo, tach, oil, temp.) will quit, all others ok. Like I mentioned, sometimes I can put it in park and they will start working again. That's why I suspect some sort of short. ???

You’re prolly right, but...check the easy stuff first. I’ve read numerous posts on here about tundras dashes lighting up like an Xmas tree...sometimes it’s the battery...

It’s a disconnect or loose connection with the CAN bus, communication network. Everything he describes as not working is driven by messages and data on the CAN. The network runs on two wires, a high and low. It is what links all the ECUs of the truck together.

I think others have reported a bad wheel speed sensor or short in wheel speed sensor wiring can take the network down. The wheel speed sensors report data to the network to run the speedometer.
