No Substitutes:
If you don't have LED powered headlights on your Toyota Tundra, then you're just behind the times! Thankfully the new Morimoto XB LED headlights: Look great. Are well-built. Performance:
We've always been blown away by the fact that the other brands don't even consider how well their headlights perform on the road at night. Most often, they're a downgrade compared to even the standard halogen setup, and that's a shame. The good news is that Morimoto's XB LED headlights produce a well defined beam pattern with a great amount of width, intensity, and a proper distribution of light.


DOT Approved:
Make no mistake, these Toyota Tundra LED headlights from Morimoto will produce a much different [better] result than slapping some LED replacement bulbs into your stock housings. Their quad-projector optics meet & exceed all SAE, DOT, and FMVSS108 regulations when aimed properly...and that's easy to do with their integrated vertical/lateral adjusters.

Plug-n-Play:
Wiring is easy too! The XB Tundra LED headlights are designed to work without any modifications. They will plug into the factory connectors for the stock headlights and each assembly includes all necessary connectors, rubber seals, and pigtails for a plug n play install. No error codes, no flickering, hyper-flashing, or radio interference. They can easily be removed, and will not void your factory warranty.



Sequential LED DRL:
Game Changer! Their LED daytime running light is powered by Osram 5000K LEDs and is insanely bright, easily visible during the day. At the top of the housings, a row of amber LED's provides the turn signal function. You can set them up to run as sequential or solid signals according to your preference.



Well-Built:
Their UV-coated polycarbonate lens will resist the test of time, ensuring your Toyota Tundra LED headlights will look good as new for many years to come. The PPS plastic housing is light-weight and much stronger than comparable alternatives. The die-cast aluminum heat-sinks inside the housings provide more than an adequate amount of cooling for the OEM grade Osram LED chips that produce the light. These complete headlights may be new to the market, but Morimoto's XB LED fog lights have proven themselves perfect after 5+ years out now, which is confidence inspiring.

They Look: Amazing. At least in our opinion! The subtle elements incorporated in their design are more than enough to make them stand out, but they're clean enough to be considered original equipment to those who don't know any better. The piano black trim and smoked gray reflectors keep the color scheme neutral, and the quad kuria-optic projectors are as modern as it gets.



Customizable: Thinking about paint-matching some OEM LED headlights from Toyota? Forget it man. Those things are nearly impossible to open up and then reliably re-seal. Going that route, you’ll be facing hours and hours of labor and a high probability for "hack job" status in the end. With Morimoto's Tundra LED headlights, that job is painless! Since they're sealed with Butyl Rubber, they are much easier to open, customize/paint and then reseal!

NOTE: If your truck has the DRL on the turn signals (amber) and not an LED strip at the bottom of the headlight, you will need to order a factory non-DRL relay (PN# 81980-0C020). This is a factory Toyota part that replaces the stock turn signal relay under the steering wheel, and eliminates the DRL on the turn signal circuit. The XB LED headlights have a fuse tap to add the DRL function to the lights by default.

There was a small release of them ahead of time to a select few, but they are now open for Preorder to all.

 

Are there any protective coatings you can put on these headlights to make the lenses last longer just curious bc of how expensive they are

 

any plans for gen 2 Tundras ? 2007-2013.

 

A good company I would refer you to would be from Lamin-X! SUPER tough layers you can apply to your headlights to prevent any Chips, Scratches, etc!

Check out this beam pattern, it is Phenomenal!

 

And this is the High beams... Wow. Now pair this with the NSV Knight Rider Light Bar AND the XB LED Fog Lights... That's a winner right there.

 

Nice looking Headlights, but I'll stick with my Hids

 

Now compare this to the OEM Bi-LED Headlights, which we all know are also Fantastic! The XB Beam pattern is very smooth and clean in comparison, allowing for a much smoother dispertion of light on the road. With that sharp Cut-Off line gifted from the LED Projectors, you won't blind a soul.

 

Hey, nothing wrong with some HIDs!

 

Are the lumins the same in the tundra xbs as they are in the fords I know there’s only 3 vs 4 led pods or whatever their called I didn’t see the rating listed in the retro fit source in their specs

 

Never mind I got in touch with retrofit source and these do not have official ratings yet. Hopefully we will know soon

 

I'll see what I can do as far as testing goes, I'll try and get a set side by side for lux measurements.

Just make sure you will never have to remove the lamin-x. It was a horrible mess trying to remove them.

I haven't had a big mess come of it, have you used a heat gun while doing so? Removing it cold is a hassle for sure haha, the Heatgun makes it pretty easy going!

 

When I tried to remove it after a while, it was terrible. The film came off but left this jelly glue that was a bitch to get off.

 

Ah I see I see. Look into getting some Goo-Gone, that'll clean any residue right up!

Iv got a question about the xbs plus using led rear turn signals, there was a guy that installed the xbs in his tundra and once he did he had hyper flashing. He figured out it was from the led turns in the rear. He wasn’t having the hyper flashing until the xbs were installed. I guess the total resistance was off? Is there a way to install both the Morimoto xbs as well as led signals in the rear. I’m not completely sure what he did to resolve the issue.

 

This was about 5 years ago on a non-tundra car. Goo gone was the only thing that really worked. I ended up soaking it on and using various cards and plastic scrapers to peel off 1/4" of glue jelly at a time. It was a long process and i wont do that again.

 

@Headlight Revolution Is part# 81980-0C020 needed for the 2017 Limited? I just have the standard Halogen setup currently. If that part is needed I wasn't able to locate it on the website.
