    Hi all-

I just got a set of the Morimoto XB LED fogs for my 2012 Tundra. They arrived packaged well but had absolutely ZERO instructions included. After doing a bit of You Tube searching, I figured out that you have to take the hardware off the factory fogs and transfer it onto the housing of the XB's. Okay, no problem but would have been better if I had some actual instructions.

While seaching YT, I found that you have to plug the "naked" XB prongs (from the lights) directly into the factory harness to figure out which way the polarity goes to make them work. Okay, again, would have been nice to get some instruction for that. I plugged them into the factory harness, got the polarity(orientation) lined up correctly and they work just great. Look awesome too! Here is where I get really pissed. I plug the prongs into the back of the included male plug and then into the OEM wiring plug and the lights won't work. The included male plug is so tight I don't think the metal "prongs" are making connection with the OEM plug. Other problem is that the prongs, from the XBs, don't click into the included plug. Every time I try to connect the XB plug into the factory plug, the prongs back out of the XB plug or simply don't make connection. Now I can't even get one of the XB plugs out of the factory plug to box them up and send them back. This is just infuriating.

I've sent an email to Headlight Revolution (where I bought them) and will see what they say. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I bought the XB headlights last year and they went in and work excellently! I was hoping for the same with the fogs....

Okay, so I fixed my own problem. Turns out the connectors are correct. The prongs just weren't locking into place when pushed into the included plug. So, I was able to grip the prongs with some needle nosed pliers and pull them into the plug far enough that they finally locked in. Once that was done the lights worked great. Lesson from this whole mess.... Hey Morimoto: Put some damn instructions in the box. Otherwise, great product!

The polarity thing got me too. It's been a while, but I seem to remember it took me a little longer than usual to install these in my Sequoia.
