I'm having problems with the HVAC in my work truck. The temp seems like it's either full hot or full cold. No in between. Also, the air seems weak to non existent when switching to panel vents. I have to run the AC on my feets. They took it to a shop today who said it'd be $3600 to fix it. $1700 for parts and 11 hours of labor. Does that sound about right?

You can swap the motors relatively easily if those are the issue. Timing them is a pain but there are YouTube videos. If the whole assembly is internally broken and truly needs replacing, then yeah, the quote seems reasonable. Have to pull the steering column and dash to get the blend box out.
