I have a 2008 tundra magnusson 2650 supercharged, lc200 transfer case (full time awd), grip pro lsd, mechman 370 amp alternator, lexus is250 steering wheel w/ paddle shifters, and mishimoto radiator. I recently added dw650 injectors, aeromotive 325 fuel pump, rcf throttle body, 4in intake, ipt valve body, stainless works long tube headers, and trd sway bars front and rear. While going into tuning the ecu must have been locked up and needed replaced. I had a local trusted shop do the installs and tuning. Anyhoo, since getting the truck back I've put close to 3000 miles and have not been able to get evap or o2 monitoring to complete.

I've started the process of throwing parts at it to see what sticks. I did the purge valve first and recently the evap canister and fuel cap. I have o2 sensors coming that will be put on this weekend. In the meantime I have no CEL and no codes. The truck starts rough about 50% of the time taking several seconds before it starts up. Other than that it runs and drives great! I have tried with and without the prospeed fuel pump control module jumper and still get the same rough start intermittently.

My question(s), does anyone have any advice on why the truck might have a rough start? Any advice on getting evap and o2 monitors to complete?

I've attached some pics for all you horn dogs

Did you go balls deep on mods out of the gate or did you incrementally upgrade?
If you incrementally upgraded what was the last point for upgrades before this issue surfaced?
When you say "other than that it runs great" what does wideband say during idle and cruising?

I had a strange start up and idle issue after replacing a dead battery; throttle relearn fixed it. Emissions check cleared after 50ish miles or so. I think the evap is checked after shutting the vehicle down.
I thought someone posted the drive cycle reset procedure that lists the order of the checks, it could cue you in where to start looking for issues.

I had it supercharged with no issues fo quite some time. I wanted to put on the rcf throttle body and figured I would need a tune as well so I did the smaller pulley, 650 injectors, fuel pump, 4in intake, and due to rusted stock headers I got the long tubes so it was quite a bit all at once. They also changed out the ecu due to problems when trying to tune.

I don't currently have widebands on it but I do have a scan gauge III and have been watching the b1 and b2 sensors. There's quite a bit of fluctuation at idle between 13-17 but at solid throttle it's closer to 12.09. By "runs great" I just mean there's no hesitation or sputtering/stalling. At WOT I have had an issue where the throttle cuts out at high RPM but that may be getting into a whole other issue.

My main focus at least at this point is to get the monitors to set so I've been driving it pretty conservatively. Once I'm good there I will focus on improving the fuel system further in preparation for a built motor.

So I have a scan Guage hooked up and was looking at different parameters and I noticed bank 1 (both sensors) were on average 200 F hotter than bank 2 (both sensors). I think this rules out bad o2 sensor but may be pointing to a larger issue since the exhaust is new and recently tuned with the other mods. I'm taking it back to the shop next week to have them verify everything and hopefully get this fixed so the monitors will complete. We shall see.

Not to distracting you from your findings or the troubleshooting you are undertaking.
To my knowledge the stock O2s are narrow bands so whatever scangauge is providing is derived.
Same for Cat temps, Tundra doesn't have a cat temp sensor so it is likely derived from other PIDs that scangauge is tapping.

20250418_125612.jpg Thanks for the info. Makes me wonder how accurate they are... might be leading me in the wrong direction. This is what I was seeing.
