2010 Toyota Tundra SR5 5.7L, 170K, Replaced valve cover gaskets an oil seals. Have multiple misfire codes P301-303,305,307. Also P0017, P0015 Cam and crank correlation error, and to top it all off, solenoid "b" bank 1 shows as an open. Replace Bank 1 coils, plugs, oil change, all sensors cam and crankshaft sensors replaced. Run good if you unplug exhaust cam sensor "B" ???? Also can't clear any codes. Checked and cleaned grounds , inspected wiring --help!!

Was the ecu unplugged during thhr proccess? If it was, check make sure that connectors are fully seated. I used my iphone to record the video of the sides of the connector closest to the engine block.

I only disconnected after I had the running problems and codes. I have not pin checked all the sensors to ECU. why would it run better after disconnecting Bank 1 exhaust cam sensor "B"??
I had the latest flash put in the ECU last week and now the current codes are P0340 and P0345. I know we shot-gunned the parts but why would it all happen after a valve cover reseal?

No damaged wires found. Still only runs good if you put it in limp home mode? Question how does the oil control solenoids get B+ to operate ECM?, Fuse ? or Relay?

Damn, never saw this reply, yeah, there is a bunch of hidden brackets and plugs in this engine.

did you cross plug these? you can only clear codes when the vehicle is either in Park, or in the 'ON' position

Gotta be a crossed coil lead or unplugged/cracked wire somewhere…

Well some updated information. Removed the Bank 1 valve cover and put toyota OEM seals on all the locations. Cleared codes, drives for about 20-30 minutes before it starts to stumble and act up. It shows the codes P015 and P025 both Bank 1 exhaust cam or solenoid issues. Drove the vehicle with the scan-tool, watching PIDS, the oil control Bank 1 stays on at idle when the problem is occurring. I am using an Autel scanner. I went into the activation section and can turn off the solenoid "B" oil control and it runs smoothly. I did this several times; clear codes- runs good and then starts the P0300, misfires 1,3,5 &7 with the same original codes eventually. I also shows ocassionally that the Exhaust sensor "B" Bank one is open?? I have checked and checked- no wire issues to ECM or ground etc. But I do see that Bank 2 Oil control is always off at idle , while Bank 1 stays on. So the exhaust cam is staying retarded at idle. Not good !! Ideas??

Did finally get it fixed after a bunch of wiring and plug comparisons to a known good vehicle. The problem is that all of the sensors have the same connector and will interchange or plug into the wrong sensor. This is what I found the exhaust sensor on the passenger side had the intake and exhaust sensors plugged in backwards.
