    Greetings

checked search and didn’t see - have sr5 tundra trd sport factory w just tints and Toyo tires.

after a year I wish I did folding mirrors - she’s a wide girl in parking spots.

any jedis on forum know if Toyota leaves easy plug harness in door and have ever done if I bought mirrors?

    thanks IMG_7914.jpg

From previous post on this ,it has been done ,but there is a shit load of chasing new wire harnesses and the price of the OEM mirrors are stupid.
If you do a search on it you'll find it.

BTW welcome to the boards and all the best with your new rig man!

My problem is I got a Limited with the Tow Package. Unfortunately for some ungodly reason the "Tow Package" does not include mirrors that extend so I can see behind my camping trailer. Anybody have a good solution that doesn't vibrate so bad on the freeway you can't see anything?

I just want mine to fold in when I lock. Good visual thief’s tend to stay away in my area if they see cuz know it’s locked, and less damage to truck… I’m not super mechanic but I can take apart the door and mirror - just clearly on new wires on expensive truck. My last was a 92 ford f150 for 20 years! lol

I also would like to add tow mirrors to my newly acquired 22 SR5. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be a bolt on installation. I found this video which seemed to explain the addition pretty well. I have the 360 cameras, so there is some setup that can only be done with the Toyota diagnostic tool.

I just got these in the mail and im happy with them. They widen the view and dont vibrate at all. They come off really easily and werent too expensive.

So I’m still working on finding out if a factory harness is inside the door before I start but I think I am getting closer.

**important to note the numbers reflect black mirrors. I am also thinking of wrapping just the very top of the truck in gloss black to match the factory pillars similar to the Tacoma.

    Here is chat gpt answer:

To retrofit your 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Sport with black, power-folding mirrors, you’ll need the following OEM parts:

    1. Power-Folding Mirror Assemblies:

    • Driver Side (Left): Part Number: 87940-0C700

    • Passenger Side (Right): Part Number: 87910-0C700

These part numbers correspond to black, power-folding mirrors compatible with the 2023 Tundra.

    2. Mirror Control Switch with Power-Folding Functionality:

    • Part Number:84872-0C020

This switch includes the power-folding feature and is designed for models equipped with this functionality.

    3. Wiring Harness:

    • Mirror Wiring Harness: If your Tundra lacks the necessary wiring for power-folding mirrors, you may need to install an additional harness. The specific part number can vary based on your vehicle’s configuration. Consult with a Toyota dealership or a professional installer to determine the exact requirements.

    4. Additional Components (if necessary):

    • Mounting Hardware: Ensure you have the appropriate bolts and fasteners for the new mirror assemblies.

    • Programming: Some retrofits may require programming to enable the power-folding feature. This can typically be performed at a Toyota dealership.

    Important Considerations:

    • Compatibility: Verify that all parts are compatible with your specific Tundra model and trim. Providing your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) when ordering parts can help ensure accuracy.

    • Professional Installation: Due to the complexity of wiring and potential programming needs, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper functionality and to maintain vehicle warranty.

By acquiring these OEM parts and following the appropriate installation procedures, you can successfully upgrade your Tundra with black, power-folding mirrors.
