I have a 2016 Limited, the previous owner removed the factory mirrors for towing mirrors. In doing so I cant use my blind spot monitoring system , so I am eventually find and install some factory mirrors with the blind spot monitoring feature.
In my search , I found a set that also offer the puddle light feature which ive never heard of.

Is my truck already properly wired for this puddle light feature?
How and when does it turn on?

    thanks

There is a way to wire in led lights into the sail panels that will function as the bsm lights.

I did it to mine and it works flawlessly.

I can’t find the link right now, because I’m taking a break from yard work right now.

    INTERESTING, thanks for the reply.
yes when you get a chance let me know what is invloved.

When I turn my BSM switch on, an error message comes up , so it wont currently work.
is this because the circuit isnt being completed, and the system knows nothing is pluged into that specific jack??

Yes that’s exactly what it is. The light in the mirror completes the circuit.
The led mounted in the sail panel takes its place.

Puddle light comes on when you press unlock on the remote so you can see if there is a puddle before you step in to open your door.
