2017. Reading the light blue is the power and the white/Black is ground. Want to tap in to power a radar detector. Thanks in advance

Ok, I used a ground light prob key on key off until I figured the wires out. Not sure what colors as I did it several months ago.

Did you have hard time getting the tap in the connector? My kit came with multiple sizes and the big ones seem too big and the smaller ones fall out. Thought this was going to be easy.

I’m also considering using a wire tap instead. I’ll keep working on it.

Just a double confirmation on this as I just successfully installed the mirror tap. Light blue is switched power and white/Black is ground. 2017 Limited. Hope this helps someone down the road.

I have a 2018 1794 and I used the red and the white/black wire for my wire tap. Had no light blue. I guess they changed it up. Just finished the install on a Uniden R3 with a Blendmount.

I just did this to my 2019 CM today and I had RED wire for positive, and a black with white for ground, no light blue at all. In looking at the OP's picture, it looks like the power tap occurred before the mirror whereas I removed the plug and tapped from behind the mirror itself. Maybe that explains the different colors. Oh well its working :notsure:
